Garrison Home Inspections & Services (“we”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and how we protect it, in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What we collect

• Contact details you give us: name, email, phone, and the property address.
• Booking details: inspection date, property details, and your real estate agent’s contact details if you provide them.
• Your signed pre-inspection agreement, including the date, time and internet address it was signed from.
• Photos and notes taken at the property during the inspection.
• Payment information, which is handled by our payment processor. We never see or store full card numbers.

How we use it

• To schedule and carry out your inspection, prepare your report, and take payment.
• To keep you and your agent informed about timing and access.
• To keep business records, as described in our pre-inspection agreement.
• To send maintenance reminders or service information only if you opt in. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Who we share it with

We share your information only with service providers that help us run the business, such as our hosting, email, payment, scheduling and reporting software providers, including AI-assisted tools used to help write up observations. They may store information outside Canada and may use it only to provide their services to us. We share your report with others only as you direct, and we do not sell personal information.

How long we keep it

We keep inspection records, including photos and agreements, for as long as needed for legal and insurance purposes, which may be many years. We delete or anonymize information we no longer need.

Your choices

You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, or withdraw consent for optional uses such as reminders, by contacting us at the contact details on this website.

Changes

We may update this policy. The current version is always on this page.
